More About Me

A more detailed look at how I got to where I am today

Having a long standing interest in my own personal health and fitness (being a regular at the gym and in studio based classes) in 1998 I studied at Manchester Metropolitan University and passed my Central YMCA NVQ Exercise To Music qualification.

For a number of years I taught a variety of studio classes as well as doing my 'day job' as Customer Services Manager for an IT Services company.

In 2003 my long held dream of setting up my own full time fitness business came to fruition with the creation of Wendy Litchfield Aerobics & Fitness which has now become Fitness From Poynton.

Further studies followed, and in 2004 I attained my OCR Pilates Based Matwork qualification.

Working to bring my clients the latest in fitness trends, in 2006 my on-going Continuing Personal Development included my becoming qualified as a pole fitness teacher.

In 2013 I completed the 3 phase IMoveFreely program and am now a qualified instructor helping clients with their spinal and general mobility issues.

I regularly attend a variety of Workshops, Masterclasses, Fitness Conventions and Roadshows so that I keep up to date with all current best practice and exercise trends.

I put all this knowledge and practical experience to good use and I aim to provide my clients with classes that are both physically challenging and mentally stimulating.  Whilst making a difference to the body, I take the opportunity to educate and inform the mind.

To maintain professional business standards and practices, myself and my business are fully insured (FitPro) with Public Liability of up to £10million!!   In the interest of Health & Safety I also have up to date First Aid and CPR qualifications.  I am a member of Fitness Professionals.
